Has anyone heard if the Indian High Commission are to allocate 5 year visas for tourists? The Daily Telegraph ran an article last November saying that it was being to be considered but there is nothing posted on the Indian High Commission website.

I read the same thing in the Goa Herald when out there earlier this year and again it said it was only being considered, but what did worry me was the talk about issuing visas on arrival in Goa.That could mean a long, long queue at Dabolim whilst 5 officials check that the visa that you have waited 5 hours to get is o.k.!!

I think getting the Visas on arrival in India is a fairly good idea. I remember a visit to Turkey, I paid £10 on arrival and they just stamped my Passport, which is exactly what Goa does now anyway. Stamp - check - check and check again lol

We got visas on arrival in Dubai, took about 10 minutes queueing. Goa????????????
