any suggestions? whats t%26amp;j?
My partner and myself were in Candolim in Jan 04 and we hired a cab for the day and went into Panjim. We visited the church where St Xavier is buried. Not to everyone%26#39;s taste but quite interesting. The markets at calangute at night were also good for hippy type entertainment. The beach shacks for food during the day are fantastic at Candolim. We stayed at the Whispering Palms while we were there and we still talk about the holiday even today. We are kerala bound with a 3 year old on Jan 24 for two weeks.
Enjoy your Candolim experiance.
A taxi should cost you about a tenner a day - maybe a bit more for fuel if you travel the length and breadth of the state.
A tenner a day is nothing well worth it thanks hunnie. is the beach in candolim white sand an very blue sea?
See photos of Candolim, not caribbean white sand %26amp; clear sea but lovely none the less, get a taxi to some of the quieter beaches either in the North or the South too many to mention, your taxi driver will have his favourite. Have a wonderful holiday.
You are going to absolutely love it, we were in Candolim 2 years ago and I still talk about it. It will be hot but bearable, make sure you go to the night market, it is a real experience. Have a full body massage, we went for a boat ride to see the dolphins and saw them but only in the distance, saw the crocodiles, you will be offered a trip to some waterfalls, we thought it was a very long and uncomfortable journey, it was not worth the trip.
The sellers are very persistent, so make sure you barter, don%26#39;t let them know that you have just arrived, they will realise that you don%26#39;t know the price of things and will push it really high. The food is glorious and very cheap!!! have agreat time.
Just come back from Candolim with two children and family had a fantastic time didn%26#39;t go on many trips cos of the kids but we did go to the circus which is there only for a month, we went to the spice plantaion sounds boring but quite interesting? and with that trip you get to see the elephants and bath with them great fun, went on noahs ark which is a lovely boat had lunch and just floated round Goa, my brother came he and his girlfriend went to stay at another beach in a hut on stilts! they got engaged and had champagne meal on the beach and fireworks - what a way to get engaged!!!!!
there is a trip like that and you stay on the indian ocean side of the island being to the indian ocean (maldives) would recomend highly because that is your white sand blue sea holiday (sorry can%26#39;t remember where it was, make sure you ask for indian ocean)My mom and dad went on a three day trip to see tighers lions elephant sanctury and monkeys which come and eat fruit out of your hand, there are loads of trips to go on - we went on trips with Shantadurga Tours and Travel (opp. Highland beach resort up stairs Rahul is great we went through him for all our trips fantastic Guy also try johns boat tours cheaper than tour operators and lot more friendlier have loads of fun we had a great time x
