marriott

has anyone just got back after staying in the marriott?we have received a letter from first choice saying that there is work going on around the hotel :the football pitch and the squash courts

they have offer to move us to the hyatt but the reviews are as good as the marriott

can anyone help?

marriott

Can%26#39;t help with the work aspect. I think I%26#39;d probably stick with the Marriott though. The Hyatt is very nice, but it is a bit isolated, although if you want it quiet, then it%26#39;s fine and you can always get taxis to Majorda or Margao. The Marriott%26#39;s only a couple of kilometres outside Panjim so you can hop in a taxi to go into the town if you want to. They%26#39;re both good hotels.

marriott

Park Hyatt probably a lot better hotel than Marriot and location, providing you like the peace of the South

Hi Guys and Gals,

I%26#39;m off to the Hyatt two weeks tomorrow (for my honeymoon), and while i%26#39;m really looking forward to the peace and quiet from the isolation, i%26#39;m a bit concerned now that i have read some of the posts about the expensive restaurants at the hotel. We%26#39;re going there on a B%26amp;B basis and probably won%26#39;t be too flush straight after forking out for a wedding - has anyone been there, or had any experience eating at the beach shacks? I%26#39;m really looking forward to eating some fresh, local cusines, but i%26#39;m just hoping that they have plenty of variety.

Cheers,

Laura

I don%26#39;t think you can go wrong with eatng at eating at any beach shacks or resturanrts are they are cheaoer than any five star hotel and more of an experenience as to be honest you dont wanna be eating all your meals t fic=ve str hotel or you lose the whole experience of goa life and nightlife.

Mates of mine will be staying their while im in goa and we planned to meet up for clubbing in calungute to got ot mambo, tito%26#39;s and the other club br that open till 6.30am. and also meeting up tp go to anjuna market on saturday and enjoy the night life their.

Even though you in five star like my mates make the most of goa around you and experience everything around you.

As your in five star hotel taxi drivers might charge you more so if your in panjim work a deal with a driver their and arrange pick up and take you where you want and wait for you until you ready to go to hotel dont realy know what fare but if people pay 700 Rupees for the day then i would suggest you offer that amount as its alot to them. Taxis do charge more at night but if you barter you can come to agreement and if you do use the same taxi again and out the goodness of your heart I would give them good tip just for being a good bargain and reliable.
