I will be reaching New Jolpaeguri around 8 morning. From there what are the ways to go to Darjeeling? what is the distance in time and the fare?

You can take a taxi on share basis, which is cheaper or you can hire it for yourself, which will of course be more expensive. You will have to negotiate the price, so ask 2-3 drivers before you come to an agreement.

Or you can take the bus from Siliguri bus stop.

Or you can take the toy train, which will take up your whole day for a scenic journey.

Its about 80 KM / 3 hours from NJP station, more if you take a break at Kurseong.
