Kovalam to mumbai

We are staying in Kovalam but thinking about spending a night or two in Mumbai during our 3 week trip. Is this feasible? Train or plane?

Ive actually looked into this in some great depth, as its a plan that we had too. However, for December time, which is when we will be in Kovalam, the internal flights worked out to be nearly £200pp and the hotels also hike up their prices by 10 - 15%.

There are four of us travelling and we decided it isnt worth going for us, as its only been a couple of years since we made a similar trip from Goa.

If you arent travelling in Dece,ber you may be able to get cheap internal flights through Air Deccan, or others including Kingfisher, or Spice.

Didnt bother looking at the trains.
