needles and visas!
Way too early to apply for visas as they are only valid for 6 months from date of issue. As for vaccinations, speak to your Doctor/Nurse - they are the professionals and will be able to tell you exactly what is needed.

Sorry, didn%26#39;t read you post through properly. Three months ahead would be plenty of time if you like to be prepared early. It can get busy toward the Christmas period so that should be sufficient. It%26#39;s supposed to be 10 working days but they obviously get busier over the peak season. As you%26#39;re probably closer to Birmingham (if my geography is correct), then apply there. The forms can be downloaded from the website www.cgibirmingham.org. Hope this helps.
I would apply for the Visa about a month before departure, you can either visit the embassy or apply by post. I use London as its closest to me and alot more organised from what I hear. Make sure your passport won%26#39;t expire withing 6 mnonths or you won%26#39;t get the Visa!
As for Vaccinations I would visit the doctor and discuss it with them as they have a record of any previous jabs you may have had. Allow plenty of time for this as sometimes there could be a course of jabs (depending upon your GP) My GP advised no specific jab was required for Goa anymore, just the routine jabs you would have at home.
To apply for the visa (assuming you would use London) You can download the application form here: www.hcilondon.net/services/visa-download.html
OR you can have some fun and visit the embassy in person.... Now that%26#39;s an experience LOL
I agree with Meerkat that 3 months before is plenty of time to apply for your visa. Personally I like to make sure that I%26#39;ve got my visa before I have to pay the holiday balance. For up to date information on vaccinations you%26#39;re best checking with your practice nurse.
