We have just returned from our third visit to Calangute.

We returned to our favourite jeweller Shamrock Baga Road, Calangute.

This is the third time we have bought from Majeed and John and we have not been disappointed.

Last year we took some old gold - my mother%26#39;s wedding / engagement ring and a few other pieces of sentimental value.

They were able to re-model them into a beautiful new bangle,pendant and a ring for which we bought a new diamond.

We had these valued at home and found them to be worth four times the purchase price.

Again this year we bought a diamond ring and have not been disappointed at the valuation.

The jeweller commented on the excellent workmanship and the quality of the diamonds.

Majeed know his subject and loves to share his knowledge,he is very genuine and honest.

We would highly recommend him.

We have dealt with the public for many years and are able to distinguish between genine people and high pressure salesmen.There are no free drinks,no taxi drivers commission and no inflated prices to haggle over.

Reading many links on this forum about jewellers I am surprised that the name ';Shamrock'; doesn%26#39;t appear more often.

Hmmm!

Maybe it%26#39;s just me being cynical but recommendations for jewellers (or any other type of shop) at the first post always makes me a bit suspicious.
