I am headed up the Nilgiri Mountain March 23 2008. Any advice on where to stay? I have been traveling the city route with my 14 year old daughter and need a rest before continuing to travel for another month or so...thanks she also needs some multi cuisine food? any ideas or any info will help...I will call your taxi man thanks

Check tamilnadutourism.org and find out if the off season discount is still available for Hotel Tamil Nadu run by TTDC, if so it is the best value for money as the rooms are large, and the hotel is quiet in a good location but just 5min walk from the main Commercial St and Charring Cross. If you stay more than 3 days you get an extra 10% discount, and it is very safe. We always stay there in the off season and are very satisfied. One drawback, the food is tasteless except for breakfast, but you can get every type of cuisine at all budgets, just 5 min walk away in the main shopping area.
