Some people in my group want to go for dinner at the Taj to celebrate a special occasion.
My attempt at telling them that Kandahar at the Oberoi is equally good has fallen on deaf ears.
My preferred choice at the Taj is Sea Lounge.....however, is this venue suitable for an evening meal or is it more of a lunch type place?
Dinner at the Taj
There%26#39;s an a la carte menu that I%26#39;ve tried often. In the evenings, I prefer to use the Sea Lounge as a place to have a relaxed drink and snacks rather than dinner.
Why don%26#39;t you try Souk or Zodiac Grill?
Dinner at the Taj
I have been yesterday to the Grand Hayat, china town restaurant, its BY FARR one of the best restaurants in Mumbai.. dont miss out, its not an add or something, but i had a great time.. there is also a louge there for after dinner parties if anything... i rate as 7*:)
average per person 1,500IRP
Nah, the Hyatt is too far to travel from where we are staying.
Zodiac Grill - we%26#39;re not fans of French Food. Souk (Lebanese) is an option. Indian is our favourite - is Masala Craft any good?
Plz do stick with sea lounge ,,, i just love sitting by the window gazing over the gateway and the waves of the Ocean, sipping my tea and munching sandwiches...Its the best relaxation therapy for me
Oh Masala Bay/Craft serve the best Indian food (by 5 star standards) being an indian i personally do not enjoy eating indian cuisine in 5 star... :)
Njoy.... Vns
Masala Craft, in my opinion, probabably serves among the worst Indian food you can get in a 5 star hotel in India. It is quite uncharacteristic for the Taj Group, otherwise known for their excellent F %26amp; B.
I think even Kandahar at The Oberoi is not quite the same any more.
Sea Lounge is not a fine dining establishment -- simply the best place to lounge in and to experience the sea off the Gateway from one of its tables at the window. It is a Mumbai institution. However, I would not go there for an evening meal.
If Zodiac is out, you still have many other options at the Taj:
1. Souk. Great Lebanese food.
2. Golden Dragon: Among the best, if not the best, Chinese restaurants in Mumbai
3. Wasabi: Wonderful (and very popular)Japanese restaurant by Chef Morimoto of the Philadelphia restaurant fame.
