Where to stay?

My husband and his friends are going to Delhi en route to a trek in Nepal, however they will be spending a few days in Delhi and would like to see the sights. Can someone recommend where they should stay? Should they stay city central and is South and North Delhi too far? We%26#39;ve found a couple of good hotels in North and South Delhi but are unsure if that would be an inconvenience if they need to get around easily to the main attractions in the city. What are your thoughts? Also, do you recommend they take the metro/bus or is it relatively easy to catch taxis, even late at night? Or should they engage a driver for the duration of their stay?

Where to stay?

Thanks much! I%26#39;ll check out Muse hotel. Can someone guide me as to whether it is advisable to stay in Central Delhi itself or outskirts and still be able to get around in/out of the city relatively quickly and easily?

google - bed and breakfast delhi

or go through the list of Bnb%26#39;s in Delhi on trip advisor. You should find what your looking for. The good thing about them is that they will give you proper guidance about taxi%26#39;s and sightseeing etc plus works out much more comfortable.

does the crown plazacat have a website ?

cheers

I agree with CaptSahil...avoid hotels. They%26#39;re over priced and at the end of it, you%26#39;ll be left completely unsatisfied.

Try searching for homestays instead of B%26amp;Bs. Mush better value for money and you know that your bed-sheet is clean. I

If you%26#39;re looking at shopping etc, Cannaught Place is a good place to stay. There are a couple of %26#39;guesthouses%26#39; there. Decent onces, but you pay a little more for the convenience of being in the heart of the city.

The Delhi Metro is fantastic...much much better than the Tube. I was pleasantly surprised to find it clean!
