best resort in Alleppey

Hi,I would like to make a trip in kerala for 2 nights and 3 days. I want to spend one night in resort and one night in house boat. Most of the people are suggesting me Alleppey. Which resort/travel package you guys suggest based on your experience in Alleppey?

it should be Marari beach resort - The casino group Hotel ,1/2 hour drive from Alleppey town

By backwater side ,

Punnamada Resort

lake palace Resort

Punnamad resort is 10 minutes from the town and Lakepalce is accessible by boat , should take just 5 mintes

The leading operators of Hosueboats are Rainbow cruises ,Lakes and Lagoons

But you can get packages , like one night in resort and one night on Houseboats , coz all these resorts have thrie own houseboats ... so they do sell it as apackage

But not necessary to take it from them , also see for the rates the House boat operators , get their quotes

it is not high season at all during APRIL , so could get a good bargain..

Thank you very much for your valuable information. When I contacted one of the travel agents he suggested Keralyeem Lake Resorts and houseboat package.How is Keralyeem lake resort?(I%26#39;m looking for the good one only,but not very luxurious one!! :) )

for one night Keraleeyam resort is ok !

This is a budget range resort, by lake side . it is just 4 kms from the town , and if you would love to spend your day doing nothing , this should be a good option

the room tariff ranges between 1500- 2200 approx on room only basis

but definitely , if you are looking for some activities , pool , indoorgames etc etc, while on a holidays , this is not the place for you

in that case lake palace reosrt , punnamada resort shall be the place for you and the room tariff should be doubel that of what i have mentioned for Keraleeyam ..
