Snow in India

We would like to know whether you get snow in New Delhi? If yes when. If not what is the nearest place/town to New Delhi where yoy get snow and when.

Nope... unfortunately you would not get any slow. You need to go further north towards Shimla (in the state of Himachal Pradesh) for snow. If you want colder temperatures then you may proceed even further north towards Kulu and Manali in the same state again

By the way, can you see snowy mountains throughout the year or only during the winter?

in shimla u can see snow only in winter months like november or december but in manali u can see snowy mountains and even u can play in snow at rohtang pass its around 52kms.from manali

You can get to see snow even in May at Rohtang. It is pretty icky, dirty stuff on the lower slopes but near the top,past the car park area, , you finally get to touch %26#39;clean%26#39; white snow.

In fact, there was fresh snowfall while we were there last May.
