Khar Market

Can anyone please give me insight on Khar Market as to what type of Market it is? Just curious as i noticed it on the map.

Khar Market

Just an ordinary market selling fresh produce in the actual market area plus assorted shops selling just about everything else that you find near all suburban railway stations - you know : hardware, electricals, picture framing, grocers, bakers, plasticware , chemists, opticians, toys, clothing, sweetmeat shop et al. It is purely a local market in the true sense of the word, not where you would go ';shopping'; as such, for that there are Santacruz, Dadar, Mulund and many other areas. Krishna Chaya and Vrindavan / Vrindavan Thali are two good vegetarian restaurants at Khar Market.

Very close to Khar market is Mumbai%26#39;s justly famous Linking Road. This is a veritable shoppers paradise, right from street stall chic, to mid range, to very up market fashions, accessories, shoes, bric a brac, you name it. Also a good range of restaurants and eateries.
