Without sounding heartless or inconsiderate and most definately without laying blame, i cannot beleive that anyone would leave their 15 year old daughter in the company of a tour guide whilst they wandered off for 3 weeks to explore elsewhere. I wouldnt do it in england, let alone a foreign country!!! Whilst my deepest sympathies are with the mother and family of this poor girl and whilst i feel that regardless of the mothers decision to leave her daughter behind, this despicable event and subsequent inadequate handling of the case by a corrupt police force should never have occured. That said, as parents we are responsible for our children every second of their lives and although at some stage we need to let go, i do not beleive that leaving a 15 year old female in a foreign country with lets face it, relatively new aquaintences constitutes a responsible decision! I can expect a barrage of abuse from some of you on this site with regards to my comments but i must reiterate, i do not blame anyone other than evil animal that committed this awful crime and iam also extremely angry at the way in which the police have handled the situation. But iam also very confused at how the mother came to the decision to allow her daughter to remain behind, certainly not a decision i would ever make!!! We can all be critical in hind sight and there was never a book written on how to be a good parent but it doesnt take a genius to be responsible. Still, my Deepest Sympathy is with her family at this terrible time.

Her mother should be prosicuted for neglect, also wasn%26#39;t her boyfriend 25?? If so are there not laws protecting a girl i mean he must must be a little sick if true.

Sick if he knew!!!! Probly didnt though and probly didnt care........But then why should he if the mother didnt?? Amazin what lengths you will go to when your feelin guilty innit??? Neglect is a polite way of puttin it mate. I would have used somethin stronger.
