Would appreciate a few suggestions for good cheap eating out in Calangute/Candolin and also a few lively bars with any live music (to keep the wife happy)
Cheers all, Martin

Hi Martin,
There are LOTS pf places to eat and most of them are very cheap. For a good all round menu (and cheap) Brittos in Baga is good and they have live music on too one night each week and also (the dreaded)karaoke!! The problem with music is that the law in India states that all music must be off at 10pm, this is currently being en-forced due to the Scarlett Keeling murder. Other good cheap restaurants are All Spice in Arpora, Kalinga in Candolim, O%26#39;Pescadors on Baga Rd, Pagoda on Baga Rd, Inferno in candolim (hundreds more and some really nice places that are more expensive - if you are interested in those let me know and I can list them for you) LOTS of bars too so take your pick,my favourites are Bharat Bar on baga Rd, Shooters on Baga Rd, The log cabin on Calangute High st. I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll find your feet very quickly and will have a great time.

PS have a look at the forum ';Holiday Truths'; they have a great thread on Restaurants in the North of Goa - the web page address is a follows:
