may be panicking prematurely here but due to fly next saturday 15th and not got visas (or passports) back yet. I know we left it a bit late but they should have received them last thursday. Do they take notice of when you are going to get them back to you in time? Whats the longest its taking at the minute? Just got an awful feeling about it and i can%26#39;t get to london as i%26#39;m a teacher and can%26#39;t take day off before holidays. Could my partner pick both up if needed?

From previous postings postal applications look like they take anything upto 10 days. I always go inperson to HCI london, as its not to far for me to travel. I have also picked up other peoples, and friends have taken mine on my behalf. Good luck hope you get them soon.

Right so just need to get through to IHC now and speak to a person to see where they are. If they have been posted there is no point going down. Usually get them about 6 weeks in advance, can%26#39;t cope with this level of stress - the thought of not getting there this holiday is gonna tip me over the edge.

anwad we are in barnsley and sent ours to birmingham and they only took 6 days and that included the weekend so i would just wait a few days

no we can track the going out - they received it on the 28th, but the muppet at the post office didnt give us the tracking number for the return envelope. Been trying all day today for help, finally been told that they cant find any trace but their systems are playing up so to ring back tomorrow. Can%26#39;t even get replacement passports in time if they dont come. Thats £1400 down the drain. Gutted. will keep you posted.

For what it%26#39;s worth Anwad, I did get the number for the return package and tracked it daily - but it always stated that it had not yet been recorded on the system, even when I had it in my hand. I%26#39;m sure it%26#39;s on the way back as we speak :-)

what a complete pain, we go on the same day as yourself and also sent ours off very late too, got them back in 8days though. have you had them back since?

they have just found the passports today, don%26#39;t know where they where! However now they are saying that there is only 1 postal order (i know there were two). Asked if they could hang on and would send another recorded - they would get it tomorrow. No chance, they are sending everything back to us, recorded delivery so should get them tomorrow (wednesday). OH is then going to Birmingham on Thursday, if we have got them by then, and trying that way. Not even bothered packing yet because we don%26#39;t know if we are going! Keep you posted.

If you go to Birmingham make sure you are there very early, i mean 7am. If not you may find you dont get a queue ticket and then its a totally wasted journey. Good luck.
