Snorkling North Goa

Staying in Sun Village Apora over Easter. My husband loves snorkling but is unsure whether to take his snorkle. This is our first time in Goa and do not know what to expect.

Thanks.

Snorkling North Goa

The sea%26#39;s normally pretty murky and not great for snorkelling. The only time I%26#39;ve ever seen it clear was down at Palolem - but then it was full of jellyfish!

Snorkling North Goa

leave it at home it is a complete waste of time. We have been to the north beaches and some of the south and the sea is that churned up you can%26#39;t see a thing. We now leave them at home.

Husband a bit disappointed but know not to bother with snorkle.

Thanks

What about in the south? Is it worth taking snorkelling gear there?

The sea is just the same in the south.

The sand is mucked up with the waves and the visibility is terrible, the currents are bad as well and we dont tend to go out more than thigh deep, its not like the Maldives or the Caribbean. Mind you the sea is beautifully warm and the beaches are out of this world. The only place I have heard of where snorkelling is ok is some islands reached from Bogmallo beach and the boat trip people supply all the gear. If your OH wants to do that it might be worth packing your snorkel, I have never liked the thought of using someone elses!

There is snorkelling available in Goa through one of the dive schools.

Have a look at.....
