Bars in Candolim

Went to Candolim to eat at the Cactus Restaurant, we are hoping to go again on our next visit as the food was really nice and partner says it was the best fish he ate.

We didn%26#39;t really walk along the road or go to any other Restaurants or Bars so would anyone please be able to advise me where the bars are located from this Restaurant as we would like to explore Candolim abit more and maybe try another Restaurant on another evening?

Directions from cactus would be appreciated.

Bars in Candolim

The Cactus is on the outskirts of Candolim and if this is as far as you went you didn%26#39;t really get to Candolim centre at all. If you were standing outside the restaurant facing the main road Candolim is towards your right and Calangute is on your left. You will find it a lot busier if you venture another 5 minutes down the road.

Thank you so much I thought as much. Is that 5minutes walking distance or by taxi? Any bars to drink that you can recommend?

5 mins by taxi. Walking is getting to be a real pain as they are widening the road so the dusty ditches we used to walk in are now filled with rocks.

Mango Grove or Bending Bamboos over the road are good.

Hi

If you go to the opposite end of Candolim (get a taxi) there is a great restuarant called the Stone House, we go everytime in GOa and we cant complain, its lovely, there are a few bars up there, Cinnebar, Ruffles bar, and a couple of others I cant remember names of.

Also The Mango Grove is run by my friend Reggie and he has just opened a restuarnt/Bar just next to and slightly behind The Mango Grove it was really nice and lively in there.

Bending Bamboos is also really good as mentioned above.

I%26#39;ve heard a lot about bending bamboos. Quite fancy popping in this time. Is it suitable to take a 10 year old in ?

yes you should be fine in bbs

also for a really cheap drink go to the tiger bar, next door to bbs and upstairs, you can see the red light rope round it, we enjoyed sitting up here watching the people down below.

Bom sucesso is nice for a drink and a bit of karaoke, and upstairs they have pool tables, should you fancy a game.
